I hope all of you who wanted to get a flu vaccine were able to come in. If for some reason it was not possible to go to the Seniors Centre flu clinics past few days or Oct. 17 and 25 from 1-6 p.m. your doctor will probably be able to provide the flu shot. I understand there was good participation.
According to BC Association of Community Response Networks Oct. 1 was National Seniors Day. At the local level, CRNs facilitate prevention and education activities with local stakeholders toward an end to abuse, neglect and self-neglect of adults in B.C. In liasing at the provincial level through their Regional Mentors and the executive director, CRNs assist in identifying common themes, barriers and issues which requires work at the regional, provincial and sometimes national level.

HELP NEEDED
Would someone or a group be interested in sending knitted squares to South Africa? We have dedicated knitters and I don’t want to let them down but find I can’t continue at this time. The last box of squares turned over to me has just been mailed to the Soweto Comfort Club in South Africa. Here they are assembled into blankets.
