Tourism booth move questioned

Resident challenges city's decision to relocate tourism services

Location, location, location is everything.

The north end tourist booth, history. The city let the building go to ruin, hence a trailer was dispensed to various venues and it didn’t work. The building  was then upgraded for use and was apparently not adaquate. Now it will be demolished at $20,000.

Has it ever occurred to city staff  to think  before they say things, like, “It’s close to the sani dump, within walking distance for shopping, and restaurants, and with  proper  signage people will be able to access the centre properly.” Not likely.

Where are McDonald’s or Tim Hortons located? On the highways and have you noticed, they are apparently quite successful.

You can’t make a left to get off the highway or back on to the highway.

“What the hell honey, how far down the road  did you say Kelowna was?”
