I read with amusement any time more money is spent on promoting tourism to Vernon. Excuse me. What exactly are they supposed to stop for? A tourism info booth they can’t find and dirty beaches with no facilities and most with dog feces.
At Kal Beach, you risk your life crossing the road after searching for a parking space.
We missed the boat when we allowed private home owners to take over the lake frontage.
Take a look at Kelowna and their waterfront development, Penticton, with motels across from the beaches and litter barrels especially designed to go underground, so no overflow etc.
Then they close Kal Beach at night, so no chance to take tourists for an evening stroll. So you might as well turn it over to the dogs.
