I have to agree with Kathy Drew’s recent letter to the editor suggesting that a traffic circle is the best option for the Stickle Road and Highway 97 fiasco.
No one can deny that it would eliminate accidents at that intersection, but can you imagine what that area could look like when there is a safe access to the highway?
I would like to see both sides of the highway developed and even a tourist centre with sani-dump.
Tourists would be able to exit the center safely and even be able to make a left turn onto Stickle Road if they choose.
We need to figure out what’s best for the distant future, not just tomorrow.
Let’s do it correctly now and not have to fix it in 10 years.
