I am one of those volunteers that helps by edge mowing a section of the foreshore trail.
I should declare I do not own a dog nor am I a birder.
I frequently ride the trail on my bike and have not noticed any dog problems since the rule change. The dogs I have seen have been leashed and under control.
Also I have not noticed any dog mess on the trail.
Lighten up everybody, give it a chance.
