I have had to wait over a year for cataract surgery.
I was given several appointments during 2014, all canceled before receiving the operation in October. If I want to pay I can have the second eye done at the end of November, but now I am told I am only on the waiting list for the end of February at the earliest.
There is no excuse for this two-tier system interfering with health care in B.C. I would like an explanation why this is being allowed to happen. If surgery time is available for private, then why is it not available for non-private?
