Re: B.C. election 2013: The Aftermath (News, May 17)

I think the results of the B.C.election are another good example of how the great U.S. general William Tecumseh Sherman got it right 150 years ago when he was asked why he would never have anything to do with electoral politics.

His famous reply? “Vox populi, vox humbug!”
