U.S. president’s speech made a local impact

I was pleased when he addressed the Wisconsin Sikh Temple Tragedy as this was a devastating incident that took place in the community.

I’m writing this letter with appreciation to U.S. President Barack Obama’s State of the Union speech (photo at left).

I was grateful to hear him address key issues including poverty, middle-class concerns and gun control.

I was pleased when he addressed the Wisconsin Sikh Temple Tragedy as this was a devastating incident that took place in the community.

His recognition of the policeman who was wounded at the shooting reflects the president’s efforts placed towards ending gun violence.

The Sikh community should be proud of his speech as he denounced this tragic event.

Although his speech doesn’t address Canada, I believe Obama’s focus on the key issues are ones to be taken as an example for our leading government.
