Victoria-based business loves HST

To the editor:

The Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) means money is put back into the pockets of employees at a family-owned small business on Vancouver Island.

We calculated the savings as a result of the HST and we decided to take that money and give raises to our 38 employees.

We explained to them that this raise was thanks to British Columbia’s tax harmonization. We are now saving seven per cent on input tax credits and we are investing that money back into our employees.
