Visit very much appreciated

Parkins family visit to hospital really appreciated

To the editor:

I would like to take this opportunity to express our, and I am sure every other patient’s, most heartfelt thanks to the Parkins family for their Valentine’s Day visit to the 100 Mile Hospital.

My wife had the misfortune to suffer a massive stroke just prior to last Christmas, which confines her to the 100 Mile District General Hospital. The boost to her recovery by the Parkins family can only be described as unbelievable.

Their cute children reminded us of our own grandchildren, all of whom live in the Lower Mainland and are not able to visit us as much as we would like.

The homemade muffins we received from the Parkins children were not only, according to my wife very tasteful, but also very timely, as she has to now relearn eating this type of food. The very cute Valentine’s Day cards accompanying the muffins also raised our spirits.

Again thank you to the Parkins for the good they did to us and we are sure every other patient of the hospital.
