To the editor:
I was shocked to find out that in 2013, funding for the permanent elimination of extreme poverty rose 6.1 per cent worldwide, while Canada’s contribution dropped a humiliating 11.4 per cent.
This year, the world will complete a global agreement called the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
This is an election year. Please tell your MP and then your candidates that this miserly, penny pinching is not only disgusting and morally offensive, it is harming our international reputation with all of the repercussions that will arise.
