We need one policy for all in B.C.

To the editor:

I am writing in regards to the Tom Fletcher’s column, headlined B.C. has history of earthquakes, in the March 18 Free Press.

Officially, we prepare but, alas, our children outside of the Coastal Health Authority do not participate in any such preparation. As we live outside of British Columbia’s earthquake zone.

Perhaps now, following the upheaval of Japan’s recent experience, we should reconsider this, as most of our children will reside outside of this region eventually and could very well find themselves out of touch during an earthquake.

Better safe than sorry.
