I was delighted to read a letter from an easy going human being (‘Leave dogs alone,’ The NEWS, Aug. 6).
We live in such an uptight world and “live and let live” is such a nice thing to say. Next time, I am at the beach, please, wave to me and identify yourself. I am so happy that you won’t mind having my eight-year-old and his six-year-old sister run through your blanket, maybe even use your towel.
And food, you don’t mind them sharing your snacks. Would you buy them ice cream? And when they need to use the facilities, you will let them do it right beside your spot. All natural, they say.
Well, what an ideal world that would be, but my dogs are much better behaved than that. Well, behaved dogs do not run amok on the busy public beach just for fun. There are quiet, secluded smaller beach areas where dogs can run free, under owner’s control. Let’s try that.
