The localized gas war in Courtenay/Comox area is easily understood and will soon adjust to a norm.
What I fail to understand is why Nanaimo and Oceanside fuel prices are consistently higher than Alberni, Campbell River, Courtenay and Comox. With cost of fuel transport to these more distant locales one would expect their prices to be higher.
Might it be that Nanaimo and Ocenside areas have a captive audience with perhaps a better ability to be charged what the traffic will bear?
