Well folks, we have a good slate of people setting forth to vie for the jobs of mayor and councillors. May I thank them all for putting themselves and their lives forward for all. Now, one question I have for all of you.
Where is the water? We have had nothing but problems over the past months with boil water notices, both for the Duteau Creek and Kal Lake sources. This is not acceptable. Without a dependable supply of potable water, we are all in jeopardy.
Only one candidate has even mentioned water, that being Juliette Cunningham. Where are the rest of you on this? I do not want to go into blaming and screaming about $29 million spent on a water plant without filtration, but I do ask?
Who thought this was a good idea? The basis of preparing water for rendering it potable (fit for human consumption) is filtration. Without filtration, one is up against mud. I realize that when the Kal Lake plant was built, water in B.C. was fairly pristine. That is not so any longer and filtration must be installed and let’s get on with it, and let’s get it on the election debate.
