If this ill-conceived new sewage treatment plan goes ahead, I suspect that the already estimated costs will be shown to have been much too low (can you say ‘replacement bridge?’) and the actual annual costs to the homeowner, much higher than estimated.
To proceed with this proposal in the face of well-grounded studies that show it is not needed makes me wonder who stands to benefit? Politicians? Their associates in the business of engineering and constructing the new works? Too bad it’s not just their money that they are so keen to spend.
