Who is responsible

Resident is upset that no government agency will look after trees along creeks

Two more trees have fallen from the other side of the creek on to our property. Repeatedly, we have tried to find out who is responsible for the upkeep and removal of those trees.

We contacted the City of Vernon and the Ministry of Environment all without success. The city claims it is Crown land and not its responsibility, likewise the provincial government.

In the meantime, our lives are in danger, our homes are in danger and it is an ugly looking mess.

We are told that the trees are important for the fish but are fish more important than people’s lives?

Maybe by bringing it to the public’s attention, we will get some answers. After all, we are taxpayers.
