Who would trip elderly lady?

Little kids played a dirty trick on passer by sending her falling

Editor, The News:

My 87-year-old mother lives in the seniors’ residence in Pitt Meadows.

On Saturday, May 11, she went for a walk around the block. Along Ford Road, she saw some children playing with a rope.

The children waited until my mom got to the rope, then pulled it,  tripping her.

Fortunately, she did not break any bones in the fall, but was bruised, bloodied, and, as you can imagine, completely shocked and confused.

I  want to convey my disappointment and dismay in the behaviour of these children. I’ve lived in Pitt Meadows for years and just recently moved my mom here. I was completely disheartened that this could happen in our lovely community.

On the bright side, a Good Samaritan came along and saw that my mom was disoriented and she very kindly walked my mom back to her building.

She wouldn’t leave my mom until she was safe inside.

I want to thank this woman very much for her loving and compassionate care.
