Why wash rocks?

I can’t see the reasoning in washing rocks that are cemented into the medians of Parksville’s streets.

I am writing because I can’t see the reasoning in washing rocks that are cemented into the medians of Parksville’s streets. It is pretty clear that we are in for another water shortage this year. I am wondering then, that maybe our city is not aware of that? Or is washing rocks a way of keeping people employed?

I am assuming that pressure washing the rocks is to remove moss. We live in a rain forest, where mosses and other ground covers is prevalent. They add to the natural beauty. So then there will be moss growing again, and again.

Back to the usage of water, and the fact that so far we have had a very dry winter. I suppose that we who live within the town’s limits will be on water restrictions starting in February this year?

I just had to comment on this, and the fact that our city decided that having Christmas lights on the trees cost too much. These trees have been conveniently planted near electrical outlets. Can’t figure that one out. If we’re keeping people employed, then wouldn’t that have been a fun job?
