Registration deadline is Aug. 31. You need seven people per team that consists of four runners and three bikers.

Editor, The Times:

On behalf of the Wells Gray Outdoors Club and the organizing committee, we wish to thank the community and our sponsors for their enthusiasm in supporting the upcoming Wilderness Gateway Relay that is being held on Sept. 17.

It’s been nine years since the last relay and we are so pleased to have so many volunteers coming out to lend a hand. We’ve had great interest from teams and are looking forward to a really good day.

For those that have been thinking about getting a team together – don’t forget that the registration deadline is Aug. 31. You need seven people per team that consists of four runners and three bikers. Would like to participate but need to hook up with a team? Shout that out on Facebook page www.facebook.com/thewildernessgatewayrelay or email us at: Wildernessrelay@gmail.com or call 250 674 1674.

For more information on the event, please visit our webpage: www.wildernessrelay.com. We are also always happy to hear from new people wishing to volunteer and enjoy the day. Please use the same above contact information if volunteering is right up your alley.

There will also be fun festivities with food at the finish line for teams, friends and families to enjoy (and exchange hero stories), as well as awards ceremonies.

This is another terrific community event and only possible thanks to our sponsors and volunteers.

Look forward to seeing people out on the trails.
