Will dogs be the next target?

Once the deer are gone and there are no deer feces in the parks will they come after the dogs whose lazy owners do not pick up after them?

I am not one of the so-called regular pro-deer writers who was mentioned in a recent letter. But I could easily become one given the sad state of affairs shown by mayor and council on the deer issue.

I have to agree with many, especially about the mayor having one real plank in his platform. The sad irony of it all is the deception and falsehoods that make people feel a cull is necessary. There are too many unknowns and from a letter I last read even the provincial vet says the clover trap is not the right instrument to use.

I cannot figure out why this mayor ignores every bit of proven evidence about culls but I guess it is because he promised some friends he would rid them of the deer he is now plowing forward.

Once the deer are gone and there are no deer feces in the parks will he come after the dogs whose lazy owners do not pick up after them? Who knows. We re-elected the mayor to run our community, not to play deer hunter.
