Editor: There has been a lot of media coverage and social media discussions in regards to the very complex issues that Willoughby is facing. I understand that residents are very concerned and passionate about the development in Willoughby and the state of infrastructure we need to service our families.
I believe council must revisit the Official Community Plan and work towards solutions that will work for the residents.
One of the first tasks that I believe needs to be done immediately following the election is council needs to do a consultation with the community and develop a clear vision for the Township of Langley, as well as a Strategic Plan. This would then guide the work that council will do for the next four years.
The responsibility of council is to look after the whole of Langley Township and its residents.
Council needs to be more transparent and do a much better job of engaging and consulting our community.
