With teacher’s cut, cut MLA pay 10%

Some folks think it a big holiday for our teachers to take care of their kids for them five days week.

Some folks think it a big holiday for our teachers to take care of their kids for them five days week.

Other folks think the teachers are being paid too much.

Other folks think that teachers work a normal eight-hour day, when for most of them it is from 8:30 a.m. to possibly 5:30 p.m. if they are lucky.

How many of us would be happy to be told that our provincial government is thinking of reducing our pay cheques by 10 per cent in retaliation for the rotating strikes?

The teachers don’t even have to think about it. When they got their pay cheques last week, the 10 per cent had already been taken off. I’m sure they  had some rather nasty thoughts about this as there may have been something they needed that money for.

May I suggest that our MLAs have 10 per cent of their “hard-earned” money returned as they have done to the teachers.
