Dear editor,
Re: The spring session opening speech from the legislature.
Premier Christy Clark’s planned use of a commercial radio station as a platform from which to make an announcement of official legislative business is so far beyond the pale as to defy description.
It leaves words like tacky, sleazy, cheap and unstatesmanlike inadequate.
On the other hand, one can see a certain logic in her seeing the need to polish up her skills as a talk-show host in anticipation of her upcoming termination.
One can only hope that she isn’t planning a career in reality TV featuring the British Columbia legislature.
