Would council pay my Hydro bills?

I have a few random thoughts regarding the article on burning bans, big fires etc.

I have a few random thoughts regarding the article on burning bans, big fires etc.

I have been heating my home using professionally installed, up to date, Pacific Energy wood stove and steel chimney.

My home is always nice and warm and I have seen a dramatic drop in my Hydro rates.

My question for council is, would they pay my added Hydro costs if they banned my wood stove, making me go back to electric heating? I bet they would not.

Another point is that instead of paying my heating dollars to Hydro, I support small business in my area, for example, those who build and install wood stoves, sell firewood, clean chimneys, repair chainsaws.

The list goes on.

As I look around the area in which I live, I notice several other homes obviously burning wood from time to time.

Another question for council is, would any of these measures regarding bans and big fines be put to a public vote?

Again, I bet they would not.
