108 Mile Men's Club golf night starts off on good roll

The 108 Resort Men’s Club golf season opened May 1 with warm and dry weather and 55 golfers.

Conditions were favourable all the way around, as noted by club captain Bill Harris who says the course was in good shape for this time of year.

“The greens had a good roll to them and the weather held off for us.”

First flight low gross winners, from first to third were: Al Sidor. Larry Pinkney and Chris Stevens.

First flight low net winners, from first to third were: John Tomlinson, Eric Ohlund and James Seeley.

Second flight low gross, first to third: Jamie Crellin, Miles Bucknell and Dennis Thompson.

Second flight low net, first to third: Roger Hood, Jim French and Larry Molnar.

Third flight low gross, first to third: Marvin Declare, Reg Haggard and Al Smeds.

Third flight low net, first to third: John Mix, Gary Desjardine and Wayne Kidwell.

Long drive winners were Harris, Bob Wieduwilt and Doug Johnston.

Closest to the pin (KP) prizes went to Stevens, Bucknell and Kidwell.

The long putt winner was Haggard, and Dan Hadden had the only deuce of the day on the eighth hole.
