The boys are back in town and having some fun out on the ice once again for the annual Panters September Classic.
It’s the 14th year the September Classic has taken place and once again, teams from across North America have made their way to Oceanside Place to take part in the three-day tournament, which kicked off on Tuesday.
When it’s all said and done, there will have been 33 games played and a good time had by all.
“They love it, each year they keep coming back for more,” said John Ogle, who is the co–chair of the tournament.
“It’s a lot of fun for all of us and we always have a great turnout every year. We all still love the game of hockey just as much as we did when we were younger and getting together each year for this is just great.”
Stretched across four divisions (60+, 65+, 70+ and 75+), there are 22 teams in all, coming from as far away as Massachusetts and Colorado in the United States, as well from right across Canada.
