The Similkameen Big 3 Basketball Tournament in Keremeos last Saturday saw more than three teams battle it out at the inaugural competition.
Shannon Eriksen, a recreation program leader with Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) who organized the event, called the tournament a success.

“Games were competitive and there was a range of ages, skill levels and backgrounds, just as I had hoped. About 25 people played and spectators were in and out of the gym all day,” Eriksen said.
The winning team included Jesse Vissia, Skye Terbasket, Seth Blundell and John (who did not give his last name).
The second place team put up a good fight in the finals against multiple college basketball players, Eriksen added.

“It seemed like everyone had a great time and was thrilled to see competitive basketball in Keremeos.”
