A delicious turkey banquet prepared by chef Gloria Byerlay and her capable staff topped off a full day of golfing Saturday.
Tournament Chair Keren Hasell welcomed players at this time and honoured Patti Traquair for her Saturday low gross score of 82, and Tanya Desjarlais for her Saturday low net score of 64.
Rhonda Merritt of the BC Golf Association was thanked for her 35-year tournament participation, Donna Archer of Delta for 28 years, and Bev Nutt of Langley for over 20 years.
The always-popular band of Wylie and the Other Guy got the whole room up and dancing to old-time rock ‘n roll after the meal.
As in previous years, tee boxes were decorated with beautiful potted flowers supplied by local Ladies’ Club members.
After the prize presentations on Sunday evening, Tournament Chair Keren Hasell thanked the players for their support, gave kudos to the many committee members, volunteers, sponsors and staff for an excellent job in making the tournament a real success, and invited all the players to return again next year, when the tournament will be on August 24 and 25.
