Abbotsford Twisters athletes win at Western Canadians

Twisters athletes continued their strong season with great performances recently.

Twisters gymnastics continued the 2016 season with a strong showing at the Western Canada Championships in Richmond from May 5 to 7.

The club took home 15 medals at the event.

Men’s medal winners included:

 

Level 4 – Team Silver

Jeremy Filiatrault: gold on horizontal bar and bronze on parallel bars

 

Elite 3 – Team Gold

Ethan Ikeda: gold on all-around, pommel horse, parallel bars and horizontal bar and silver on rings

 

National Open

– Kyle Machibroda:– gold on all-around, pommel horse and horizontal bar and bronze on parallel bars

– Elijah Horner: bronze on floor and vault

– Brendan Ansell: gold on floor

 

Women’s medal winners were:

Junior Olympic, 10 16+

Emily Moorthy: silver with Team BC

 

JO 9, 10-13

– Jordis Kliewer: silver with Team BC and bronze on floor

– Mikhayla Rosenow: silver on vault

– Marissa Engh: best placing on Floor

 

Twisters females also attended the Delta Invitational from May 5 to 8. Medal winners included:
