AC Taxi was right on the button last week, just as it has been all season long.

Garry Smith’s curling team captured the Christensen Collision Cash League title last Thursday at the Nanaimo Curling Centre, defeating Kevin Weinreich’s Anderson Civil Engineering rink $85-$50 in skins action. The seventh and eighth skins were carry-overs, so team members from both sides attempted draws to the button to determine a winner. AC Taxi won 13 points to 12, upping its cash winnings to $755.

Garry Smith teamed this year with his wife Dianne as well as Rick and Sharon Ringma.

“The last couple of years we’ve won with our seniors’ competitive team – this year we just put our fun mixed team together,” said the skip.

Rob Williams and his team finished second with $665. Weinreich was third with $645.
