After playing 21 B.C. Hockey League games with the Cowichan Valley Capitals last season, forward Josh Adkins is heading to NCAA Div. III Concordia University Wisconsin in the fall.

Adkins, who aged out of junior hockey, will join fellow former Capital Jake Switzer at Concordia.

Acquired from the Alberni Valley Bulldogs in December in exchange for Rhett Willcox, Adkins had 10 goals and 10 assists in 21 regular-season games for Cowichan, then added three goals in six playoff contests. Over three-plus BCHL seasons with Cowichan, Alberni and his hometown Victoria Grizzlies, Adkins compiled 36 goals and 59 assists in 166 games.
