Two Aldergrove men, Dean Arsene (#29) of the Peoria Rivermen and Matt Keith (#24) of the Abbotsford Heat (with Greg Nemisz in background) while battling for the puck in the Peoria end in the first period Jan. 18 at ASEC. Peoria would win this game 5-1 but the Heat would even it up with a 2-0 shutout the next night. Keith is the assistant captain of the Heat and leads the team in scoring, while Arsene is captain of the Rivermen. Keith and the Heat face another Aldergrove man, Brad Thiessen, March 11-12 when the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins come to play a pair of games at the AESC. Thiessen, 24, is a starting goalie at the upcoming AHL All Star game and currently leads the AHL in victories with 17, while losing only three times.
