In Men’s Club golf action at the Alberni Golf Course on Sunday, 47 men teed up on what proved to be a great day for golf—we even saw the sun.
Russ Israelson had the best of the day, coming in with an impressive 76, followed by Colin Hamilton with 78.
On the net side of the day it was Phil Anker leading the way with 66.
Next was Steve Pointon carding 68 and winning on a count back over Fred Fredrickson, who also shot 68. The final net prize was won by Bill Bjornson firing a 69.
Closest to the pin winners were Mike Savard on No. 2, Craig Acland on No. 4, Cory Nielson on No. 13 and Craig Acland on No. 17.
Next Sunday is another open day with the usual gross and net prizes, as well as the closest to the pins and money pot up for grabs.
