The Harlem Ambassadors topped the Lions/Habitat for Humanity Slam Dunk All-Stars Sunday, but Lade Majic didn’t care about that.

“Everybody is a winner in the Harlem Ambassadors show,” said Lade Majic, coach, guard and show woman for the Harlem Ambassadors. “This is great to see community getting together and just trying to make things happen with a positive vibe.”

The charity basketball game, which attracted a small yet enthusiastic crowd, was held to raise funds for the two community groups.

“I think the crowd was great,” said Lade Majic following the game. “They were very responsive and receptive to what we were doing. They were definitely supportive of what the Lion’s Club is trying to do here in the community as well Habitat for Humanity. It was an honour for me to be able to utilize my talents to help make a difference here.”

Majic, who played for the University of Missouri Tigers, has traveled to 23 countries and all 50 states with her team in effort to raise funds and bring awareness to what community leaders are trying to do.

After being in Penticton, the Harlem Ambassadors were in Whitehorse Dec. 2 then head to Skagway, Alaska for Dec.3. Their tour takes a break starting Dec. 15 after visiting Juneau, Anchorage.
