Softball season is not over yet.
There’s still a lot of softball happening here in Parksville in the next couple of weeks.
The annual Oceanside Summer Softball Camp is taking place Aug. 28-31 at the Parksville Community Park from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Members and alumni of the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds softball team will be running the camp, where they will be teaching young players how they can improve their skills, get them ready for tryouts, and inspire them to keep playing the game.
The camp attracts players from across the mid-Island and includes those from Port Alberni, Nanaimo, Qualicum Beach, Parksville and Ladysmith.
