Megan Osland’s impressive play in 2015 continued last week as the KSS grad earned her fourth top-10 finish of the NCAA women’s golf season.
The captain of the San Jose State University Spartans’ team, Osland tied for eighth place at the Bay Area Intercollegiate tournament at the Meadow Golf and Country Club in Fairfax, CA.
After an opening round 3-over par 74, Osland shot one of the best rounds in school history with a five-under 66 on day two, moving her up 24 places in the standings.
“Her short game was awesome in the second round,” Spartans’ coach John Dormann said of Osland’s play.
In round 3, Osland carded a 2-over par 73 to tie for eighth in the individual standings of the 54-hole event.
As a team, SJSU placed sixth out of 13 schools.
Earlier this season, Osland won the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic and also tied for first at the Juli Inkster Invitational.
