The Abbotsford Olympians Swim Club returned to the pool on Sunday, and swimmer Nevaeh Thomson excelled.
Thomson, 10, achieved a regional qualifying time in the 200 metres individual medley, with a time of 3:56:98. The time enables Thomson to compete in regional meets in the Lower Mainland.
Sunday marked the first novice meet of the season for the AOSC, with a total of 16 swimmers attending the meet at the Walnut Grove Community Centre in Langley. AOSC swimmers battled the Langley Olympians, the Haney Seahorses and the Hyack Swim Club.
