It is a dead heat atop the standings after day one in the archery compound competition at the B.C. Winter Games.Both Jordan Adachi (zone 1 Kootenays) and Spencer Schouwenberg (zone 8 Cariboo North East) shot scores of 283 in their competition at Abbotsford’s Ag-Rec Arena on Friday afternoon. The event wraps up on Saturday.And chasing them — and the third and final place on the podium — are Jason Dekkers (zone 1) and Josiah Shonwise, who are not far behind with scores of 274 and 273, respectively.In the barebow competition, zone 8’s Dawson Williams holds a comfortable 36-point advantage over Max Watson (zone 6 Vancouver Island/Central Coast), leading 203 to 167.And Duncan Van Der Roest (zone 1) is nipping at Watson’s heels with 166 with one day of shooting remaining.In the recurve competition, Levi Kilbert (zone 2 Thompson-Okanagan) shot a 276 and holds a 24-point lead over zone 5’s Lokton Au (Vancouver-Squamish).Zone 3 Fraser Valley’s Torin Scott goes into day two in third spot with a 235 as he tries to hold of Ethan Shonwise (zone 2) who totalled 224.
