Six Nations Arrows ended Armstrong’s Brett Hawrys’ dream of winning a Canadian Junior A lacrosse title Saturday.

The Arrows defeated Hawrys and the Coquitlam Adanacs 14-8 Saturday at the Langley Events Centre to win the Minto Cup championship series 4-2.

Coquitlam won the first two games of the best-of-seven before the Arrows responded with four straight wins.

Hawrys was held off the scoresheet in Game 6. He finished the series averaging more than a point a game, three goals and four assists for seven points.

Arrows captain Johnny Powless was the series MVP, finishing with 29 points (8-21) in the six games.

The Arrows won the Minto Cup for the first time since 2007.
