Arrowsmith archers bring medals home to Parksville Qualicum Beach

Connor Presley and Miranda Mail won silver at the 2014 Indoor Canadian National Championships

Young local archers won medals in their respective categories in the 2014 Indoor Canadian National Championships. Connor Presley and Miranda Mail won silver, and Taiya McLellan and Devon Harach won bronze.

The Arrowsmith Archers (a division of the Parksville/Qualicum Field & Game) also recently hosted the 21st Annual Harry Tutton Memorial 3D Archery Shoot. There were 119 shooters that came out for the event from all over Vancouver Island, as well as some coming over from the Lower Mainland.

“The Harry Tutton Shoot was another success and it’s thanks to all of our supporters,” Arrowsmith Archers member Brandy Presley said. “We owe a lot to all the businesses in the Oceanside area that support our club. Without their support the success we had would not have been possible.”

The Arrowsmith Archers Club is open to youth 9 years and older, as well as adults. The club shoots indoors on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.  For further information, email arrowsmitharchers@shaw.ca
