Triathlon coach Crystal Thomas, with zone 7 athletes Morgan Weir from Prince Rupert, Thomas Christensen from Terrace, Courtney Chanin from Kitimat, and coach Willie Muller. Chanin took silver in aquathlon, while Christensen took 10th and Weir took 16th. “I was particularly proud of our Zone 7 athletes positive attitude toward their fellow competitors. During the events they raced with intensity and passion but as soon as they where done they turned to cheer on the athletes from other zones,” said Mike Christensen, Thomas’ dad. “The experience of a games can be an incredible boost for self confidence and to hear Thomas say he had fun and looks forward to beating his dad next summer is far more important than results or placings.
