The Ridge Meadows Rustlers won the atom A4 Fraser Valley banner, then came from behind to win the championship final of a Richmond tournament in overtime.
On March 8, the local atom hockey team played host North Delta in the Fraser Valley Flight Four championship final.
The Rustlers got a hat-trick from Luke Christensen, and two more goals from Jesse Knight in a 6-3 victory.
Then on Tuesday, the Rustlers played the Burnaby Bulldogs in the gold-medal game of the annual Richmond Minor Hockey Association tournament.
The Rustlers fell behind 3-0 early, but battled back to force overtime. Ridge started the extra frame by successfully killing a five-on-three Burnaby power play, thanks to some standout goaltending from Jake Poblette.
Then with 43 seconds remaining in OT, Keegan Araki scored the game-winner.
