B.C. Games results from West Shore athletes

17 athletes, coaches and officials from the West Shore competed in the B.C. Games

The West Shore was well represented at the B.C. Winter Games. In total, 17 athletes, coaches and officials from the West Shore competed in Kamloops last weekend.

Emily Walzak took home the silver medal in the level three women category of Special Olympics figure skating.

Anthony Budden, Cohen Dawson, Sampson McNeill, and Zack Drought earned the consolation bronze, sixth overall placing in curling.

Cecilia Winter placed seventh in both the individual ball girls western and all-around girls western rhythmic gymnastics.

Eva Sagodi placed fourth in the individual choice girls national and all-around girls national.

Jessica Gray placed 10th in the individual ball girls provincial and 12th in all-around girls provincial.

Juliette Porter finished 11th in all-around girls provincial and 12th in individual ball girls provincial.

Nicole Chan earned bronze in mixed teams badminton.

Kieran Brown placed 16th in boys U14 400-metre race 1, 20th U14 200m, 18th U14 400m race 2, 16th U14 2,000m points race and participated in U14 Super 1,500m.

Kyle Brown placed 17th in boys U14 400m race 1, 16th U14 200m, 16th U14 400m, 12th U14 2,000m and participated in U14 Super 1,500m.

Peyton Jo Stonehouse-Smith finished 13th in the girls U16 500m race 1, 11th U16 1,500m, 13th U16 500m race 2 and participated in the U16 3000m point race.
