By early next week, the identities of the new ownership group taking over the SilverBacks are expected to be revealed.
The Junior A franchise announced last Friday that owners Randy and Terry Williams have agreed to a deal in principle to sell the club to a new ownership group led by current general manager Troy Mick. Mick will also be taking over behind the bench from Scott Robinson.
Mick said he’ll be announcing the members of the new group next week.
In other SilverBacks news, marketing director Josh Gordon tendered his resignation, citing family reasons. He will be leaving following the ’Backs spring camp, which runs May 3 to 5.
