The Bantam Chargers continued to roll this weekend, dominating the Vancouver Island Comox Raiders.

The Chargers came out hitting hard from the opening whistle where Trystan Kenoras scored on the opening play, on route to a 26-0 victory.

The dominating blocking of the Chargers offensive line, led by Coby Jagt, set up Kenoras for a second major early in the second quarter.

Luke Simmonds closed the half, adding a major of his own.

The Chargers defence posted their second shutout with solid tackling and great efforts by Chase Henning, Dylan Eugster, and Nick Ferster. Simmonds closed out the scoring for the Chargers when he and quarterback Henning hooked up for a 35-yard catch and run early in the second half.

The Chargers improved to 3-1 and play the Cowichan Bulldogs Sunday in Richmond.

Junior Bantam

The Junior Bantam Chargers won a tough fight Sunday, beating  the  West Kelowna Ti-Cats by 20-8.

The Charger’s offence was led by Jonah Rivette and receiver Ryan Berke.
