The Nelson Bantam Leafs continue to steamroll the competition as they prepare to host provincials in March.

The team defeated Calgary’s Springbank 5-3 last weekend to win a host tournament that included teams from Kelowna, West Kelowna, Salmon Arm and Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

Nelson hammered Coeur d’Alene 15-1, beat Salmon Arm 9-3 and downed Springbank 5-3 in their first meeting. In the semifinal, the Leafs breezed past Salmon Arm again, 5-2, before winning gold in the final.

The Leafs host provincials March 18 to 22.
