The Williams Lake Hulksmash Bantams saw a successful season come to an end March 6, finishing second at a tournament in Merritt.
The Hulksmash, coached by Cam Sailor, defeated Abbotsford 10-3 Friday, downed Logan Lake 4-2 and beat Vancouver 3-2 on Saturday before beating Langley 6-1 on March 6 for the silver medal.
Goals were scored by Tristan Sailor, Trevor Rivet, Connor Masters and Graham Lemky in the silver-medal match.
“Right from the start my goal was to establish and maintain positive attitude and energy with the players, with the coaches and with the parents and we as a team reached that goal,” said Hulksmash Bantam assistant coach Tim Lussier.
Prior to the Merritt tournament, on Feb. 26, the team beat out all other bantam teams in the lakecity to take gold at the Williams Lake Minor Hockey Bantam Jamboree year-end tournament. Before that, the team won silver at a tournament in Logan Lake and won bronze at the WLMHA Bantam Tournament earlier in the season.
