Barriere Secondary School has three teams that are representing our school; boys soccer, junior and senior girls volleyball.

The Junior Girls volleyball team  is being coached by Tiffany Bowser and Angie Rainer. The team is a young group, but again hard working and eager to learn.

A home game for the Junior Girls are on Oct. 24, starting at 5 p.m., and they have tournaments on Oct. 7, 8 at NorKam, and Oct. 21, 22 at TRU. Practice times are Wednesday and Thursday 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The Senior Girls volleyball team  is off to a hot start going 2-0 in their first league games beating Chase and Ashcroft. Team Captain Kiera Eustache and assistant coach Jamie Proulx are helping rookie coach Brian Tommasini lead the girls to victory.

The Boys Soccer team  is being coached by Kirk MacFarlane and Brian Tommasini. Practices are every Wednesday after school from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.  The boys are off to an 0-2 start, but are a very hard working and skilled group.  Come out and cheer for them at 4 p.m., on our home field in Barriere on Monday, Oct. 17, against St. Ann’s.
