Minority Report

Barriere Minor Ball’s home opener was played on Apr. 26.  The Kamloops U16 boys made the trip to Barriere to play our Barriere Bruins.  The weather barely cooperated, making for difficult pitching conditions, but Barriere pitchers Georgia Clough and Garner Ransome persevered and combined for 16 strikeouts in the win.

Devan Green, Ty Hartman and Reid Parlby each came around to score twice for the Bruins, while Adam Gordon reached base and scored three times.  The team still has lots of work to do before hosting the U14 Provincial Championship, July 7-9, but the game was a good start to the season.  Well done all.

The same day, our Barriere Cedar Kings, U16 girls’ team travelled to Kamloops to play the U16 Kamloops Chaos.  The game was closely contested, with the Chaos winning by one run.

Check out Barriere Minor Ball’s facebook page for our schedule of upcoming games, and make sure you come down to the ballpark to cheer on our teams.

Play ball Barriere.
